In the Sticks

Harry Paulsen remembers life in Quatsino Sound, on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, at a time before smartphones, before television and even before electricity. He lived in the small community of ‘Winter Harbour’ which got its name in the 1800’s when its sheltered harbour became a safe anchorage for sailing ships.
